1
Q
Glycolysis Cycle produces what and where?
A
1 glucose= 2 pyruvates, 2 NADH & 2 ATP (4 produced but 2 used, net =2)
Uses: 2 ATP, 6 Mg2+ ions
Where: cytoplasm specifically in the cytosol
2
Q
Pyruvate-> Acetyl-CoA cycle produces what and where?
A
1 pyruvate= 1 NADH 1 CO2
where: mitochondrial matrix
3
Q
Kreb Cycle Produces what and where?
A
Kreb cycle processes 1 pyruvate at a time, process x2
produces= 3NADH, 1FADH2, 2CO2, 1 GTP (1ATP)
where: mitochondrial matrix
4
Q
Light Dependent Rxn
Name the two cycles, and what it produces
A
- Cyclic Phosphorylation (electrons in PSI 700 recycles)= 1 ATP
- Non-Cyclic Phosphorylation= 1.5 ATP
5
Q
Light-Independent Rxn/ Dark Rxn Cycle / Calvin Cycle
what is its purpose
A
Purpose: to make 1 glucose molecules by repeating the cycle 6 times using 6 CO2
