DASH-1 TEST Flashcards
What is the ICAO code of T-17?
MFI-17
What is the wing dehidral?
1,5 degrees
What is the wing sweep forward?
5 degress
What construction i T-17?
The fuselage is a light semi-monocoque construction.
What is the fire wall made off? Which loads does it carry?
Stainless steel. It carries the loads from the engine mount and the nose gear.
Which loads does the lower beam absorb?
The lower beam absorbs the loads from the wing struts, main landing gear and safety harness.
Where is the main spar located? What profile is it?
The main spar is located at 30 % of the mean aerodynamic chord. It is an extruded I-profile.
Where is the rear spar located? What profile is it?
The rear spar is located at 75 % of the mean aerodynamic chord. Is a bent-up C-section.
What is done with the fuselage to avoid “oil canning”?
The fuselage panels are slightly curved to avoid “oil canning”
Which positions can the pilot seats be adjusted into”?
From Full aft/Full down to Full forward/Full up
What is the shoulder harness stressed for? Where is it attached?
20 g attached to the primary structure
Is the rear door lockable from the inside? Can it be opened during flight?
Yes and yes ( max 70 knots opening and max 100 knots when open)
What fuel is the engine powered by?
Avgas 100LL aviation grade fuel (F18)
Where is the fire detector located?
In the engine compartment through the right hand rear baffle plate
State propeller used by T-17?
Hartzell two-blade constant speed propeller
How is coarse pitch maintained?
By a mechanical device comprising counterweights which are acted upon by centrifugal force
How is fine pitch maintained?
By means of oil pressure
What happens is case of total oil pressure loss?
The propeller blades move into coarse pitch (thus preventing engine over speed)
Which fuel pumps are incorporated in the fuel system?
An engine driven diaphragm fuel pump and an electrically driven auxiliary fuel pump
What happens to the manifold pressure and RPM when opening the throttle?
Manifold pressure increases, RPM may increase
What is the range of the propeller control detent?
2500 RPM - 2700 RPM
What does clockwise movement of the friction lock do?
Increase friction
What happens if something is blocking the air intake?
The air is automatically drawn from the engine compartment (the alternate air intake is used)
What does the starting system consist of?
A 24V electric motor
