~ Golding uses very intense and violent language to show the death of Simon on the island
~ The boys are acting like animals which is what they are described as by killing a innocent human being

~ He understands how wrong and immoral it was, he describes it as ‘murder’ and is truly frightened of what is to come next

~ Jack is acting very wicked towards Ralph after the death of Piggy.
