Heart fire transferring to the Small Intestine.
mù tōng
bitter, cold
clears heat from Heart channel above, clears heat and promotes urination within Small Intestine channel below
sheng dì huáng
enters the Heart to cool the blood
enters the Kidneys to nourish the yin and generates fluids (strengthening Kidney water), which controls fire in the Heart
+ mù tōng: promotes urination without damaging the yin and tonifies the fluids without retaining pathogenic qi

alleviate irritability by clearing heat from the Heart
