A

axial migration of teeth in their natural state to re-establish ICP when you place restorations in high which may take weeks-months-years.

what happens if pt says they do not want you to drill their tooth?

A

need to explain what might happen (Dahl) and obtain concent
= no prep means no space for wing
- wing design should be 0.7 mm
- once cemented pt may still feel wing but since teeth migrate the teeth will naturally come back together

  • intrusion (40%) of the anterior teeth in contact with the appliance
  • extrusion (60%) of the unopposed posterior teeth
