Control rods for ailerons and elevator, cable for the rudder
What is the purpose of the variable elevator backstop?
Limits the elevator up travel to 13° as soon as the power setting of BOTH engines exceeds 14.5” at sea level with the flaps up. This is 2.5° less than the 15.5° maximum deflection.
If the power is less than 14.5” or the flaps are deployed then full deflection will become available.
