fighting against someone who did something to you

–it is morally acceptable as countries have the right to defend values and beliefs of their country
-it is acceptable to defend other nations under threat

-fighting against a country that has done something very wrong
-taking revenge by deliberately harming the country

-weapons of mass destruction which kill immediately
-their potential to destroy is long-lasting, even after the explosion
- if a nuclear war occurred, the world would be destoryed

-can’t be controlled well

-aim is to kill/disable people via illness

-gives control over unstable governments-protection against them

-in old testaments there are many wars fought in the name of god
-believe god is with them

-christians should obey their rulers as they had been given power by god
-if you don’t fight, you allow a greater evil to happen than a war would have caused

-war must be started and controlled by the authority (holy leader)
-there must be a just cause-those who are attacked must deserve it. It cannot be to gain territory, resources or for retaliation
-intention of war must be to promote good and avoid evil. peace and justice must be restored
