Cybersecurity is the discipline of protecting networks, devices, and data from unauthorized access or criminal use
Antivirus
A software designed to detect and get rid of malware.
Firewall
A network security device that separates a trusted internal network from an external network. It regulates incoming and outgoing network traffic based on preset security rules
Difference between Firewall and Antivirus
An antivirus is a software that actively eliminates threats while a firewall blocks threats from entering the network
Blackhat
A computer hacker who violates laws or ethical standards for nefarious purposes, such as cybercrime, cyberwarfare, or malice
Encryption
The process of converting text into scrambled, unreadable ciphertext.
Decryption
The process of converting ciphertext back into it’s original readable format.
Whitehat
Ethical hacking. Under the owner’s consent, white-hat hackers aim to identify any vulnerabilities or security issues the current system has.
