Q

What are the shockable rhythm’s ? (2 things)

How would you manage this?

A
  1. Ventricular fibrillation
  2. Pulseless ventricular tachycardia

Defibrillation and CPR + if persistent amioderone 300mg IV and adrenaline 1mg IV

Note:

A

Upwards

Way to remember this:
If you’re “right” you’ll put your hand up

17
Q

How is a diagnosis of angina confirmed? what findings would you see?

A

ECG.

Findings (indicate Ischaemia or previous MI):

  • LBBB
  • ST depression
18
Q

What would you do if a patient presents with an MI after more than 2 hours of symptoms starting?

A

Thrombolysis

  1. Ticagrelor + Aspirin
  2. Do an ECG in 60-90mins
19
Q

What medication should be. given to patients undergoing PCI?

  2. Prasugrel if >75yrs old.
    otherwise= Ticagrelor or clopidogrel
20
Q

What score is done to assess bleeding risk?

A

ORBIT

score of >3 = high risk

21
Q

Which ACS conditions cause a rise in troponin ?

A

STEMI and NSTEMI
