CVS Flashcards
Kilip
Quantifies severity of HF in the setting of ACS and predicts 30-day mortality
Class I no signs of HF
Class II mild-mod HF (ie S3, rales <1/2 way up posterior lung fields, JVD)
Class III pulmonary edema
Class IV cardiogenic shock
TIMI
Thrombolysis in MI: used to determine the likelihood of ischemic event or mortality in pt with UA or NSTEMI
Low risk <2, mod 3-4, high 5-7
1 point each:
- Age >65
- >3 CAD risk factors (Framingham)
- Known CAD with >50% stenosis
- ASA use in past 7days
- severe angina in past 24hrs
- elevated cardiac markers
- ST deviation >0.5mm
NYHA
New York heart association (NYHA) functional classification in the setting of HF
Class I no limitation of physical activity
Class II Slight limitation (fatigue, palpitation, SOB, CP), relieved at rest
Class III marked limitation with less than ordinary activity, relieved at rest
Class IV symptoms at rest
Debakey and Stanford
Debakey= BAD
1- both
2- ascending
3- descending
Stanford
type A involves Ascending (type 1 or 2 debakey)
Type B involves descending (type 3)
