CVRJ Flashcards
Mission Load
a classified set of freqs, 15 total (0-14)
Channel
A through L, displayed only if a threat is detected or jammed
Threat Code
a lower case hexidecimal character (1,2,3,a,b,c) that ids the type of threat detected for a given channel
What are the 6 status messages?
JAM, DET, STBY, OPR, SFLT, AFLT
3 types of “fails” id’d on the RCU during power up procedures?
RCU Fail, COMM Fail, LOAD Fail
Identify the five modes of CVRJ operation.
Initialization, Standby, Operate, Power Off, Fault
Describe system faults.
Fault mode occurs when a critical fault has been detected.
The system can no longer be relied on.
Faults can occur at any time.
The system continues to perform at a degraded level.
True/False: The CVRJ cannot be powered on with the CVRJ R/T if the RCU is connected.
True
What will happen if the CVRJ system encounters an initialization fault?
The system goes to idle.
True/False: In Standby mode, the system will transmit a jamming signal after it detects a threat.
False - the system will detect threats and jam only once placed in the OPR mode
Use the RCU to:
monitor initialization, system status, channel and threat codes, verify that the system has been zeroized, and monitor system faults.
Which fault is considered a Critical Fault?
VSWR
Which are the faults an operator can troubleshoot?
GPS Timeout, and GPS Sync Lost
If SFLT and ZEROIZED are showing on the RCU, what is the status of the CVRJ?
The system is zeroed.
If a VSWR fault exists, what does the system do?
The VSWR indicator is displayed, the ANT FAULT lights up and the RCU goes to “Dazzle mode” until the operator acknologes the warning.
