I am in the privledged position that I have been doing the job for 6 months

Finally, I have lived in Bristol with my husband a long time. We now have a son. Love the city, firmly part of our local community and have a great support network of friends, and I have put a lot of work into our garden.

Talked a lot about haemostasis, what about general haematology?
Nearly 2 years of experience in the general clinic
Triage referrals and respond to GP A&G requests
TRaining has equipped with a solid grounding in laboratory and malignant haematology allows me to judiciously select appropraite invesitgations
Stay current by keeping abreast with latest guidelines and attending meetings

If you could have more training, what would you do?
Firstly - my training has been excellent and incredibly grateful that I could spend my final year of training honing my skillset to match with job
Coaching - enthusiastic about being an ES, but also I find traineres will informally open to me about their challenges and would like to have more skills to support and guide them.

What would you tell a medical student about your specialty?
Haematology is in every specialty - good to get the core principles early
Try lots of different things, but if they choose haematology - enourmous diverse and rewarding specialty
They are important. Be kind to yourself.
