What is custom content?
Custom content is any additional demographics, statements, or open-ended questions that may be added in addition to the existing 60 statements, 14 demographics and 2 open ended questions.
Is there a deadline for certification/lists?
Where there is no deadline for obtaining a certification, however each list has its own deadline and in order to be considered for any list, deadlines will need to be met.
Are there any extra steps to get on any lists?
To have the opportunity to be on the Fortunes 100s Best, you will need to complete your survey prior to the list deadline as well as completing both a Culture Brief and a Culture Audit.
Do my contractors/employees who are out on leave need to take the survey?
No, contractors are not on your payroll and will not need to take the survey.
Employees who are out on leave – if they are expected to check their emails, they should be sent a survey but if they are not expected to be working you will not need to send them a survey link.
What is participation threshold?
Participation threshold is the number of employees who need to:
o Take the survey to be eligible for certification
o Take the survey to be eligible for lists
Do I have to translate my own survey?
You do not need to translate the 60 statements, 14 demographics, and 2 open ended questions, however, if you will be adding any additional content, you will need to translate yourself.
For the comments section, if they respond back in another language will it automatically translate back to English so the customer can read it?
The comments will come back in the language that it was answered in.
Does it matter in what order the survey, culture brief and culture audit (if necessary) get completed?
- We recommend completing the culture brief while the trust index survey is open. This way once your survey closes you will be able to see if you are certified or not.
- If you are going for the Fortunes 100 Best List, you will want to complete your Culture Audit once your survey closes and your culture brief are completed to ensure you are certified before taking the next steps.
What is the Trust Index?
Our Trust Index survey is the minimum standard survey content required to be used in all recognition eligible surveys.
What is a Culture Brief?
A Culture Brief will need to be submitted along with the Trust Index survey. Essentially, the culture brief is a short questionnaire that covers your company, your workforce, your different demographics, and any benefits that you may offer. Its basically a chance for you to showcase your company and the information that is submitted will be used to determine your Best Workplaces list eligibility and must be completed to be certified as a Great Place to Work.
o All requirements on the CB will be marked with a red flag and must be completed by your company to become certified.
Certified companies are automatically considered for all of the Best Workplaces List, so we recommend filling out the CB completely, even if you aren’t targeting any specific lists.
What is a Culture Audit, how is it used, and who needs to complete it?
A Culture Audit is used when a customer is wanting to be considered for Fortunes 100’s Best list, as well as positive coverage by GPTW and the Media.
It is comprised of 5 Essay questions, 1 optional Extra Credit question and any supplemental materials that the customer feels necessary.
Companies with 1,000 or more US Employees will need to complete the CA (both part time and full time) if they are looking to be considered for 100 Best.
Does it matter in what order the survey, culture brief and culture audit (if necessary) get completed?
It is recommended that you complete the Trust Index and the Culture Brief within the same timeframe while the Culture Audit will only need to be completed if you are looking to get onto the Fortunes 100 Best List.
What is manager access?
Manager access allows you to add or subtract any managers from viewing certain survey results.
A manager can be given full results access or can only be given access to view certain demographic results.
What is the difference between all the tiers?
Assess –
o This is our base level tier. It offers one certification eligible survey, Best Workplaces List eligibility, and an overview of your results.
Accelerate –
o This is our mid-level tier. It offers one certification eligible survey, an overview of your results, Best Workplaces List eligibility, and also allows you to add in custom content.
Analyze –
o This is our high-level tier. It offers one certification eligible survey, Best Workplaces Lists eligibility, an overview of your results, a one our deep dive Culture Coaching session, Precoding/ Employee Demographics available, custom content and unlimited surveys.
What is our methodology?
Our For All methodology is centered around trust. We believe that the best workplaces are build on a deep foundation of trust with all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the company.
Our model is essentially an 85/15 split. Meaning that 85% of our model is the core of what we do. Its whether the employees trust the people they work for and whether all employees can reach their full human potential.
The remaining 15% is made of the employees’ daily experiences in innovation, their companies values, and their leaders effectiveness paired with how consistently they are experienced by all groups.
Financial growth is not something we necessarily measure but it is a result of the above.

What is the difference between an Account Manager and an Account Executive?
Account Managers – Handles renewals and ongoing customer retention
Account Executive – Handles new business
What is the scale that we use to format our statements?
We use the Likert Scale for our statements
What is the Likert Scale?
The Likert scale is used to measure consistency throughout our statements. It is on a scale of Almost always untrue to Almost Always True
Is there a limit to the amount of custom content I can add?
No, there is no limit to the amount of custom content that you can add, however, you may want to consider only adding in the pertinent information to the Certification survey. Because you are on the Accelerate tier, you have unlimited surveys which would allow you to gather all of the necessary information.
How long does it take to complete the survey?
The survey typically takes about 10 -15 minutes to complete but we do recommend giving about 20 minutes to each survey taker, so they don’t feel rushed.
Everything that is on the survey must be on the survey?
To be considered for certification yes, you will have to keep all 60 statements, 14 demographics, and two open ended questions. However, the survey taker is not required to answer all questions.
