gives additional perks, no charges on credit balance, includes things such as holiday/travel insurance, break down cover
disadvantage of a packaged premium current account
additional monthly charges frequently applied, package covered may not offer value for money.
basic current account
current account that offers limited features that is designed for someone who is close to debt/ has a poor credit rating to help them. This wont have an overdraft and wont pay interest on positive balances.

it is offered to people with poor credit rating, offers easy first step in increasing credit balance.

limited facilities like no debit card or overdraft limit

designed for students. overdraft limit, free rail cards,

course fees and student loans can be easily handled, Bonuses offered are designed to meet the needs of learners.

overdraft facilities could encourage overspending. limited facilities, charges for overspending are high.
