A
Studied the lives of 12 working class women. The research showed that they tried to distance themselves from traditional working class norms and values.

Savage et al (2005)
A
Carried out 50 in depth interviews with people who lived in Manchester. Only 21% had a clear view of a class they fit into. 41% thought they had no clear social class. 40% viewed themselves as working class. 18% viewed themselves as Middle class.

Willis (1977)- ‘Learning to Labour’
A
Explains what life is like in working class families. KEY POINTS: Jobs are based on unskilled, manual labour; boys typically follow in fathers footsteps; strong sense of unity.
