Goals of cross-cultural psychology
(1) Testing the generality of existing psychological knowledge and theories.
(2) To explore cultures in order to discover cultural and psychological variations which are not present in the limited cultural experience of North American, European authors and schools.
(3) To attempt to assemble and integrate, into a broadly
based psychology, the results obtained when pursuing the first two goals to create a more nearly universal psychology.
