What happened when the sibyl approached Tarquinius superbus

A

She offered him 9 books for an expensive price. He declined and laughed at her so she burnt three books and offered them for the same price. Tarquinius was hesitant but declined. The the Sybil burnt three books and offered the last three for the same price. Tarquinius bought them and they ended up telling the future. Romans would refer back to the books for major advice

What do you think about Tarquinius’ choice?

A

I think that he made a good choice to eventually buy the books. Although it would be better to have all 9, he didn’t know what was contained on the books and he had the right to question the high price of the books.
