how are implications of cultural bias a weakness?
if western views dominate , this could impact how mental illnesses are diagnosed
definitions of mental illnesses may be relative to our culture
people may receive treatment that they don’t actually need

they do this by becoming part of the community and develop a full understanding of the culture

not always good to make distinctions between cultures bc there are sub-cultures within
why is operationalisation of variables a weakness?
when studying pp in other cultures, without a full understanding of the culture, we may think that we are studying a certain behaviour but it is actually viewed differently within tue culture
