What happened during the Bay of Pigs?
A
An invasion force of around 1400 Cuban exiles landed at the Bay of Pogs in Cuba with the aim of provoking an anti communist uprising/invasion to overthrow Castro

A
They didn’t send any ground forces or air strikes to support the attack

A
Castro’s government found out about the attack before it even happened and prepared 20,000 soldiers to fight of the 1400 invaders
