Q

Some have alleged that Genesis 1 creates tension between faith and science
Explore this relationship by considering the following

1) Which elements of Genesis 1 do you find hard to accept “scientifically” That is which events in this chapter require faith to accept
2) Which elements in evolutionary theory require “faith” to accept?

A

1) Genesis states that God created the world in 7 days, each day dedicated to something different
-This can be hard to accept scientifically because the world is believed to have been created in a big bang in a short quick moment

2) The evolutionary theory is hard to accept but evolutionary scientists have to put faith in their theory and that the world was created in a big bang rather than a beautiful creation that occurred in only a week
