Biceps Femoris
O- Long head: ischial tuberosity
Short: the lateral lip of Linea aspera, o
proximal 2/3 of the lateral supracondylar ridge of the femur
I- two heads join above the knee + common tendon inserts at the head of the fibula
Semitendinosus
O- Ischial Tuberosity (with biceps long head)
I- upper part of the medial shaft of the tibia
*pes anserine
Tibialis Posterior
O- upper post. the surface of the tibia, interosseous membrane, upper 1/2 of the posterior surface of the fibula
I- navicular, cuboid, cuneiforms, bases of metatarsals 2,3,4
Soleus
O-Post. surface of head + upper 1/3 of shaft of fibula, Soleal line on tibia and tendinous arch between tibia and fibula
I- Via Achilles tendon into posterior surface of the calcaneus
Psoas Major
O- Sides of vertebral bodies, IVD, TVPS’s T-12-L4
I- Lesser trochanter
Iliopsoas
O- Sides of vertebral bodies, IVD, TVPS’s T-12-L4, Iliac Fossa
I- Lesser trochanter
Glute Max
O- Post Gluteal Line, iliac crest, sacrum, coccyx, Sacro-tuberous ligament
I- Gluteal tuberosity, ITB
Glute Medius
O- Ilium in-between post. + ant. gluteal line, gluteal aponeurosis
I- Posterior lateral surface of greater Trochanter
Glute Minimus
O- Ilium in-between anterior + inf. gluteal line
I- ant. surface of greater trochanter
Infraspinatus
O- infraspinous fossa
I- middle facet of greater tubercle + joint capsule
Teres Major
O- Lower 1/3 of the lateral border of scapula + across to inferior angle to medial border
I- Medial Lip of intertubercular sulcus
Subscapularis
O- Subscapular fossa
I- lesser tubercle + joint capsule
Biceps Brachii
O- Short: coracoid process
Long: Supraglenoid tubercle
I: radial/bicipital tuberosity, bicipital aponeurosis
Pectoralis Minor
