1: 100k=10mcg/ml (18mcg/carp)
1: 200K=5mcg/ml (9mcg/carp)

Ampicillin
- 2 gm IM or IV (Adult)
- 50 mg/kg IM or IV (Child)
Cefazolin
- 1gm IM or IV (Adult)
- 50 mg/kg IM or IV (Child)
What can be used for prophylactic antibiotics if the patient is allergic to penicillins or ampicillin-oral?

Cephalexin
- 2gm (Adult)

Azithromycin
- 500mg (adult)

How is Clindamycin useful in regards to prophylactic antibiotics?
What is the standard dose for adults and children?
Can be used when there is an allergy to amoxicillin or when the medication cannot be taken orally.
- Great when patient is allergic to penicillins or ampicillin-oral
- Great when patient is allergic to penicillin or ampicillin and unable to take oral medications.
- 600mg (adult ) IM, IV or oral.
- 15mg/kg (child) IM, IV, or oral.

Disp: 4 (Four) capsules

What are indication for adjunctive antibiotic use for oral and odontogenic infections?
- Fever>100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Malaise
- Lymphadenopathy
- Trismus
- Increased Swelling
- Cellulitis
- Osteomyelitis
- Persistent Infection
What are contraindications for adjunctive antibiotics for oral and odontogenic infections?
-Pain without signs and symptoms of infection
+ Symptomatic irreversible pulpitis
+ Acute Apical Periodontitis
-Teeth with necrotic pulps and radiolucency
-Teeth with sinus tract (Chronic Apical Abscess)
-Localized fluctuant swelling
Write a prescription for ibuprofen as needed for pain management.
Rx: 600mg Ibuprofen
Disp: 30 (thirty) tablets
Sig: Take one tablet PO qid as needed for pain.

- Maxillary: Palatal Strap, A-P Palatal Strap, Palatal Plate
- Mandibular: Lingual Bar, Sub-lingual Bar, Lingual Plate - Retention
- Circumferential clasps, I-bar, Wrought-wire, combination clasps, - Rests
- Which teeth and where - Please cast and finish framework
- Survey according to tripod marks
- Special Instruction. (Wrought wire clasps, lingual retention etc.)
