- Pair with an officer at the AAP inside the protected area to be escorted to the ISFSI

You are Final Access Control during a declared emergency.
How would you process NRC personnel during a declared emergency when they DO NOT have a key card badge?
- Obtain blue emergency badges
- Obtain their NRC identification
- Insert identification into plastic holder attached to the emergency badge
- Complete log
How would you give access to ERO personnel during a declared emergency if they DO NOT have their key card badge?
How do you process an ERO if they DO NOT have a picture ID?
- Obtain blue emergency badges
- Identify the individual via Biometrics, or valid not expired government issue photo ID and compare to employee badge report.
- Verify they have a valid key card
- Insert some form of picture identification into plastic holder attached to the emergency badge.
- Complete log in/out
- Process individual as a visitor if no picture can be placed in emergency badge if escort is available.
Demonstrate how to verify an individual’s identity at the entry turnstiles.
- Verify the individual by a valid not expired government photo ID
- Verify with badge information report
- Notify SAS and give them the individuals key card number
- When prompted, have the individual put their hand in the biometrics
- SAS will notify you of pass/failure
(Officer can call SAS for the individual’s card number and manually enter the number into the HGU – cannot verify identity if biometrics will not read the individual’s hand.)
You are requested to test the biometrics at the AAP. Demonstrate the process.
- Refer to SEC 506 and follow steps. (Perform operability test)
CAS has dispatched you to respond to an already active alarm. State your actions.
- Respond to turnstile and follow CAS/SAS instructions.
