What does CSEP Stand for
Caliber service excellence program
What are the 3 legal liabilities?
Due Care, Act or Omissions and Failure to Warn
What is Due Care?
Not taking due care is not performing repairs completely and correctly which leads to injury or other harm.
What is acts or omissions?
Acts or omission refers to faulty work being performed or failure to repair existing damage without a signed release from the vehicle owner
What is failure to warn?
Failure to warn is withholding information from the customer about a defect in the repair or about a defect on the vehicle of which you were aware or should have been aware.
What are the two types of releases?
Unsafe vehicle release and airbags not replaced unsafe vehicle release
What color do you want Mark prior damage with?
Red
What are the seven steps of metal repair?
Grind paint from damages area Restore basic shape Shrink metal Weld tears in metal Grind metal to prep for filler Apply plastic filler Final sand and featheredge
What percentage of refinish hour is for base coat?
19%
What does the typical tire code mean?
P 205/75R-14.
P = passenger type
205 = tire width in millimeters from sidewall to the other
75= ratio of height to width
R = type of tire radial, B bias-belted d- bias-ply
14 Is the diameter in inches of the wheel to which the tire is to be mounted
What does the Mig welding stand for?
Mig stands for. Metal inert gas
What is TIG welding?
Tungsten inert gas

Mild steel
When would you bond panels?
Never. Must weld glued panel
What is TPMS?
Tire pressure monitoring system
What is a indirect monitoring system ?
A sensor located in the passenger compartment
What is a direct tire monitoring system ?
A sender on each tire.
When do you take a basecoat reduction?
When you would not be putting the color on the entire panel or when you are blending within a panel
When would you use mold material removal?
When prepping raw new plastic
How long should you wait before sealing paint using Teflon coating or other type of coating
A minimum of 30 days. Do not wax new parts for 30 days because the paint is still releasing gas. Do not put on clear bras until 30-60 days
What is CSC responsibilities?
Customer service
Where should customer conversations be documented?
In the customer experience dashboard
What is an express repair?
15 hours or less
What is twist?
Twist occurs when two opposite diagonal corners of a center section are high compared to the two other corners
When does diamond occur and where does it occur?
Diamond occurs when the center section of the vehicle is no longer Square this type of damage may result from a front or rear hit to a side rail diamond can only occur on a conventional frame vehicle
When do you write set up no-measure?
Sheet-metal pulls only may properly be performed without the use of measuring device the accuracy of the sheet metal pull is determined by the consistency of the body gaps and proper operation of movable sheet-metal panels
What is the name for a collapsed rail?
Mash, short rail or collapse
What is tempered glass?
A heated or chemically strengthened type of glass generally used for side and back glasses
What is encapsulated glass?
