Health and Safety - Supervisory responsibility
o Train – Train staff
o Follow – Make sure Staff are following Health & Safety Guidelines
o Be Aware – Be Aware of hazards in the workplace

Steps to Work Refusal
- Worker feels work is unsafe, endangers health and safety
- Worker reports to supervisor, reason why
- Supervisor initiates investigation, notifies members of the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Work refusal investigation form
- Until investigation begins, worker is not to be assigned alternate work (present at all times during investigation)

Different between Minor and Major injury
Major; Loss of consciousness, fracture or loss of limbs except fingers and toes, loss of blood, burns, life is in jeopardy, loss of eye sight
What do you do if a major injury occurs?
When a Major occurs, the Supervisor is to follow the Critical Injury and reporting policy including contacting the divisions health and safety team to determine is the Ministry of Labour needs to be called
