Crossing of SB and verdicchio developed by Bruno Bruni in 1936 on 54th try
Le Marche -colli Maceratesi aDOC as a potential blending grape.
Also in a few IGPs in Umbria and Tuscany
Can make high quality wine but little is planted as does not produce many grapes per bunch
Nose like a rich SB, fig, melon, white flowers, but with a creamy mouth feel

Piedmont Red#267 Up and coming grape in Piedmont Created by Dalmasso in 1938 Thought he crossed Nebbiolo and Barbera , but really crossed Chatus instead of Nebbiolo
Deep ruby, with purple tinges
Delicately spicy, and very fruity has strong note of tobacco, full bodied, and creamy texture
