An informational source used to support an idea
What is credible evidence?
Information from a source that can be trusted
What is paraphrasing?
Using information from a source in your own words
What is plagarism?
The use of someone else’s work without giving credit
What is culture?
A set of behaviors, beliefs, and expectations of a group
What is bias?
A negative, unintentional feeling toward a person, idea, or belief that affects how that person, idea, or belief is viewed
What is cultural competence?
The ability to effectively communicate with people from cultures different than your own
What is a stereotype?
A simplistic and typically negative belief about a category or group of people
What is APA style?
The writing format and guidelines from the American Psychological Association (APA) used in the social sciences (psychology, education, business, and healthcare)
What is an in-text citation?
Writing within a paper that shows where an idea, statistic, or quote came from
