Marxism
Class division is too strong, the proletariats in society are alienated by the bourgeoisie. The rich do nothing and have everything, the poor do everything and have everything and religion helps to enforce this. Marx believed this should be changed and that the proletariats should have a revolution.
Freudian / Phychoanalytical
Sigmund Freuds theory of consciousness: Ego, Id and Superego. The id is the infantile, instinctive and aggressive conscience that is very instinctive, superego is the moral control that is like a strict parent and the ego is the rational compromise that makes strategy and leads the two.
Jungism - Archetypes
Created by Carl Jung archetypes are typical examples of a person. There are 12 archetypes split into 3 types.
Ego types - innocent, regular guy, hero, caregiver.
Soul types - explorer, rebel, lover, creator.
Self types - jockey, sage magician and ruler
Feminism
Analysis the roles of women in comparison to men under an oppressive patriarchy that views women as lesser.
Aristotelean Tragedy
Tragedy has 6 main elements: PLOT, CHARACTER, diction, thought, spectacle and music.
The aim of tragedy is to bring about “catharsis” in the audience.
Nietzschean philosophy
Hard atheist who famously said “God is dead”, and believes that Hamlet is the only enlightened character in the play.
