What is used in Type 2 Resp failure?
NIV
Management if greater resp failure experienced
Intubation
Balloon in trachea to protect from aspiration
What can be used if larger pressures are needed to ventilate in resp failure?
Tracheal tube
Prolonged artificial ventilation can trigger which condition?
Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Why does infection occur under ventilation/ARDS?
Cilia won’t be clearing secretions
