Paracetamol induced

Answer 1

Arterial pH <7.3 24 hrs after ingestion OR
Pro thrombin time >100s AND
Creatinine >300ymol/L AND
Grade III or IV encephalopathy

Question 2

Non paracetamol

Answer 2

Prothrombin time >100s OR any 3 of:

• drug induced
• age <10 yrs or >40 yrs
• 1 wk from 1st jaundice to encephalopathy
• prothrombin time >50s
• bilirubin >300ymol/L
