What is the excitement about CRISPR/Cas?
A
- (Jinek, 2012) -> Found that the CRISPR/Cas9 system can be used to cut DAN sequences in vitro. This was better than restriction enzymes because the number of base pairs that matched were longer and also it was more flexible.
- (Cong, 2013) -> Generated a CRISPR/Cas9 system capable of genome editing of mammalian cells in vivo
- (Wang, 2013) -> Used CRISPR/Cas9 system to generate mouse models carrying biallelic mutations in multiple loci in as little as 3 weeks time
