Two wrongs don’t make a right,not a good deterrent for spur of the moment crimes,doesn’t end pain of loss for victims family,everyone should be given a chance to reform as all life is sacred

Why is reform (prison) a suitable punishment?
Prison can still protect society from murderers so death penalty isn’t necessary, prisoners can repent and ask for forgiveness
