Crew Awareness Flashcards
Primary components for crew awareness system are?
IC-600 1 & IC-600 2
What is the function for IC-600s?
IC-600s are responsible for the interface among the the airplanes systems, besides managing information presented on the displays. Each IC-600 computes the received data and sends the appropriate information to the displays.
What is a DAU?
DAU is short for Data Accusation Unit.
What information is being sent to DAU 1
DAU 1 receives information from the forward systems, FDR, and the Left Engine
What information is being sent to DAU 2
DAU 2 receives information from the Aft systems and the Right Engine
How do the Displays receive information?
In the IC-600 there is a symbol generator which provides images to the display units.
What is the default DAU channel for the IC-600s?
Both IC-600’s use Channel A of the DAU as default
How can the channels be switched on the DAU?
DAU channels must be switched manually. On the center console you can select DAU 1 or 2 to channel B.
What will be indicated if DAU Channel A fails?
Amber dashes for the appropriate systems.
What is normal operation for screen display pertaining to IC-600
IC-600 #1 : PFD 1, MFD 1 and EICAS
IC-600 #2: MFD 2 and PFD 2
What is the indication IC-600 #2 Fails
Red X on MFD 2 and PFD 2
What is a indication of a screen failure?
The screen will be blank
How can you recover this information?
Using the reversion function you can transfer the data to a screen that is functional.
What are the 5 systems pages on the MFD?
Fuel: fuel system parameters and level
Electrical: generator and battery data
Environmental with Ice Protection: air con, pneumatics, o2, and ice protection systems parameters and status
Hydraulic and brakes: hyd level, brakes systems and status
Takeoff: provides takeoff temp settings, oil level and door status
How does the EICAS prioritize warning caution advisory messages? How many can be displayed?
Warning Caution Advisory 15 messages Newest message at the top Use the dial to scroll
