they believe that God created the universe and then created the world in 6 days, then rested on the 7th
what is the difference between fundamentalist and liberal christians
- fundamentalists take the story of creation literally -
- liberals dont and instead think of it as a display of Gods power
- although they believe the the scientific origin, they believe God created science

- the world was formed by big disk shaped clouds colliding and gravity compressed these into a ball of hot rock that cooled

- the belief that God is just is important
- because they believe all will be judged fairly after death
- meaning our actions will be fairly rewarded or punished

- He created the world, so He must have existed before it did
- He is outside space and time so none control him, meaning he is eternal

- because they know he has the ability to look after them as God is all powerful
- meaning they can live without fear and happily express their beliefs
