Passes thru orbital fissure.

Maxillary Branch -
Sensory from upper lip, nasal mucosa, lateral aspect of palpebrae. Passes through foramen rotundum & rostral alar foramen

Mandibular Branch -
Sensory from lower jaw & auriculotemporal area.
Motor to mm. of mastication.
Passes thru foramen ovale.
