18
Q

Where to place electrodes to monitor Cranila nerve 10

A

Endotracheal or endolaryngeal electrodes
-attaches to the intubation tube

19
Q

Cranila nerve 11

A

Accessory (motor)

20
Q

Where to place electrodes to monitor Cranila nerve 11

A

Trapezius and sternocloodmastoid muscle

21
Q

Cranial nerve 12

A

Hypoglossal (motor)

22
Q

Where to place electrodes to monitor Cranila nerve 12

A

Extra oral or intraoral on tongue

23
Q

Upper extremity sseps and where to place electrodes

A

Radial nerve- on thumb
Median nerve- thumb side
Ulnar nerve- pinky side

24
Q

Lower extremity sseps

A

Saphenous nerve- inner thigh and knee
Peroneal- top of foot and further up
Posterior tibial- inner ankle

25
Q

Corticobulbar tract

A

Originate from precentral gurus (primary motor cortex)
Goes down midbrain- synapse with CN 3,4,6
Through cerebral peduncles to the pons- synapse CN 5 and 7
Through medulla - synapse 9, 10, 11, 12

26
Q

Difference between lateral corticospinal and anterior corticospinal tract

A

Lateral- 90% decussate in medulla, used for skilled movements of hands and feet
Anterior- 10% do not cross in medulla, controls neck and trunk muscles

27
Q

What does corticobulbar tracts do

A

Movements of eyes tongue, chewing, expressions and speech
