Smell
Olfactory Epithelium -> cribiform foramina of ethmoid bone to synapse at olfactory bulb.
Optic nerve 2

Vision:
Retina -> through optic canal
oculomotor nerve 3

Eye movement: upward
ventral midbrain -> exit at superior orbital fissure
trochlear nerve 4
Eye movement downwards
come from midbrain -> exit at superior orbital fissure
Trigeminal nerve 5

Face sensation
Mandibular division:
pass through foramen ovale in sphenoid bone
Maxillary division:
pass through foramen rotundum in sphenoid bone
Ophthalmic division:
pass through superior orbital fissure of sphenoid bone.
Abducens nerve 6

Eye movement lateral
leave pons -> exit at superior orbital fissure.
Facial nerve 7
+ CADAVER
face movement:
leave pons -> exits at stylomastoid foramen
Vestibulocochlear nerve 8
Hearing:
from temporal bone -> through internal accoustic meatus -> to enter pons
Glossopharngeal nerve 9
+ CADAVER
Taste
from medulla oblongata -> leave through jugular foramen
Vagus nerve X
Swallowing
from medulla oblongata -> leave through jugular foramen to thorax and abodomen
Accessory nerve XI
* SHEEP brain, on side of medulla oblongata
Shoulder Shrug
from spinal chord -> travel through jugular foramen to neck and back
Hypoglossal nerve XII
* SHEEP brain, on top of medulla oblongata
Tongue Movement
medulla oblongata -> hypoglossal canal to tongue
