motor (Superior Oblique) turns eye inward and down (looking at nose)

- face sensation (touch 3 branches with q-tips)
- mastication (clench jaw, move it side to side)
- both motor and sensory

Abducens Nerve
- motor
- abducts the eye via the lateral rectus (look toward your ear)

Facial Nerve
- facial expression (scrunch forehead, smile, puff your cheeks, dont let me open your eyes)
- taste
- can be affected if trauma to inner ear as it runs through there
- somatic sensation of the external acoustic meatus and motor control of the stapedius muscle of middle ear

- hearing and balance

- somatic sensation of external ear, middle ear
