Posterior Wall: Petrous Crest of temporal bone Contents: Temporal lobe and pituitary gland
Anterior Fossa
Posterior Wall: Lesser wing of sphenoid bone Contents: Frontal Lobes
Posterior Fossa
Contains brainstem, occipital lobes and cerebellum
Jugular Foramen
CN 9 (Glossopharyngeal), CN 10 (Vagus), and CN 11 (Accessory); Also Internal Jugular Vein
Foramen Spinosum
MIddle Meningeal artery and nerve
Foramen Lacerum
Internal carotid artery passes over it (not through) as it enters cranial vault
Cribiform plate of the ehtmoid bone
CN I : Olfactory (To olfactory bulb)
Internal Acoustic Meatus
CN 7 (Facial) and CN 8 (vestibulocochlear)
Superior Orbital Fissure
CN 3 (Oculomotor, 4 (trochlear), V1 (opthalmic), and 6 (abducent); also opthalmic veins
