A

Instituted a range of policies:
-As early as 1761, he cut back on gifts to the Native Americans
-He also restricted the amount of gunpowder and ammunitions the British could sell to the Native Americans (even though these were required for them to hunt and provide furs to trade)
-Alongside his fellow British officers, did little to conceal their contempt for the Native Americans

-Ottawa chief, Pontiac, raised a revolt
-Native Americans seized 8 British forts on the frontier
-They besieged Fort Pitt (The gateway to the Ohio Valley)

-Stationed a permanent standing army of 10,000 troops in their North American colonies to enforce the Proclamation Act
