CPS-TSM Steps—Exit with... Flashcards
After Assessing the Situation, what should you have on exiting this process step?
You will have a clear picture of the most relevant data that characterize the situation you are facing, and you will decide whether or not CPS is the right approach for the situation, and, if so, a direction (where to go next).
After Exploring the Vision, what should you have on exiting this process step?
At the end of this step, you will have a goal, wish, challenge, or opportunity expressed as a broad, brief, and beneficial statement that begins with one of the statement starters—an established goal or desired outcome phrased as follows: “It would be great if…” “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” or “I wish.”
After Formulating Challenges, what should you have on exiting this process step?
At the end of this step, you will have one or more problems you wish to work on, in the form of concise, affirmative statement starters—a specific identified challenge or challenges that, if resolved, move you in the direction of your goal. Phrased as “How to?” “How might I?” In what ways might I?” What might be all the ways I might?…”
After Exploring Ideas, what should you have on exiting this process step?
At the end of this step, you will have one or more ideas that can be developed into implementable solutions—ideas that need to be transformed into workable solutions for overcoming your challenges.
After Formulating Solutions, what should you have on exiting this process step?
At the end of this step, you will have created an implementable solution—a proposed change you want to carry forward.
After Exploring Acceptance, what should you have on exiting this process step?
At the end of this step, you will have determined how to enlist assisters and overcome resisters—an analysis of what might be done to prepare the context to adopt your proposed change so that you are ready to create an implementation plan.
After Formulating a Plan, what should you have on exiting this process step?
At the end of this step, you will have a fully-formed action plan for implementing your solution—a complete plan of logistics and details that need to be addressed to implement the solution.
