- tets arnt always right damilola taylor
- rape cases- n 2018, The Guardian reported that the CPS’s specialist rape prosecutors had been advised to drop a number of supposedly ‘weak’ cases. The aim was to improve the CPS’ overall performance by ensuring that a higher proportion of its prosecutions would succeed. By taking out 350 weak cases out of the system, their conviction rate would go up to 61%. CASE Liam Allan in 2018 due to evidence being disclosed only after the trial had started, around 30 other cases that were due to go to court had to be reviewed
- funding in 2018, the then head of the CPS, Alison Saunders, reported that its budget had fallen by 25% and that it had lost 1/3 of its staff.
