CPL De 12 Flashcards
Critical engine failed, windmilling.
This is producing more drag then a geathered propeller and therefore produce more yaw.
5 degree bank
Used to have zero sideslip + horizontal compononet of lift is helping to oppose the yaw
Must unfavorable weight
Effect when airplane is banked. Weight increase, decrease vmc as we have more horisontal lift to stop the yaw.
Must unfavorable c.g
Must aft C.G as the rudder is less effective because a shorter arm.
Isa conditions, sea level
Higher density altitude decreases engine horsepower and lower VMC.
Out of ground effect
Lift is less in ground effect, so out of ground effect our lift increase and therefore our drag.
Gear up
Aircraft is more stable with gear down
Take off flaps
Worst case is engine failure right after take off. So there fore take off flaps witch course more drag.
Take off trim
Standarisation
150 lbs of presure
Averge pilot
Cowl flaps
Can be in open even tho it decrease vmc. Stabilze the aircraft.
Maximum continous thrust
DA42 is the same as max thrust. Other engines will have max cotinous thrust.
Nævn de 12:
Isa conditions, sea level Must unfavorable weight Must unfavorable cg Take off trim Take off flaps Maximum continous thrust Out of ground effect Gear up Critical engine failed, windmilling. 5 degree bank 150 lbs of presure Cowl flaps
“Vi flyver på en ISA dag med dårlig vægt og CG. Sætter Takeoff trim og flaps, giver max power, flyver ud af ground effect, tager gear up, den kritiske motor dør, vi banker og giver 150lbs pressure til live engine. Cowl flaps”
