Ottawa Ankle Rules
Bone tenderness along the distal 6cm of the posterior edge of the tibia or tip of the medial malleolus
Bone tenderness along the distal 6cm of the posterior edge of the fibula or tip of the lateral malleolus
Inability to bear weight both immediately and in the ER room for 4 steps
Ottawa Foot Rules
Bone tenderness at the base of the 5th metatarsal
Bone tenderness at the navicular bone
Inability to bear weight both immediately and in the ER room for 4 steps
Ottawa Knee Rules
aged 55 years or >
tenderness at the head of the fibula.
isolated tenderness of the patella.
inability to flex knee to 90 degrees.
inability to bear weight (defined as an inability to take four steps, ie. two steps on each leg, regardless of limping) immediately and at presentation.
