Q
  1. What sort of professional development have you done during your training period?
A

I undertook a self-managed sustainability module organised by the college of estate management. This consisted of 5 different modules covering topics such as carbon in the built environment i.e. embedded carbon. Passive design of buildings i.e. location and the material first approach. Energy systems in buildings such a ground source heat pumps and district heating. Carbon sequestration i.e. carbon captured in wood products that is released when they are disposed. Lastly about standard assessment methods and the future homes standards whereby 2025 all homes much use 75-80% less energy than they currently do.
