- Ataxic
- Dystonic
- Choreoathetotic
- Mixed
Spastic CP
Pyramidal tract lesion (UMNL) signs.
Pseudobulbar palsy : feeding and speech disorders.
Spastic diplegia (most common subtype) associated with prematurity due to periventricular leucomalacia which can be showed by MRI .
Spastic hemiplegia is associated with neonatal stroke.

Due to kernictrus.
Ataxic CP
Due to cerbellar injury.
Hypotonia and hyporeflexia.
Cerbellar ataxic : incoordination of voluntary movements, nystagmus, staccato speech, intention tremors.
Atonic CP
Floppy infant (profound hypotonia). Normal reflexes
