The Ten Commandments are still important for us today because:
• The commandments are about love of God and one another, and this is
still important today.
• Some of the commandments are about avoiding killing, stealing and ly-
ing. These are still actions that should be avoided.
• Respecting parents is still very important because they have our best in-
terests at heart.
