Gave people license to trade.

McCulloch hated cash so when extra taxes came he protested.
Plessy v. Ferguson (1896)
Plessy sat in a white person railroad car and got arrested so he complained to the courts and they said “your created equal but separated” and segregation was made
Brown v. Board of Education (1954)
Little girl had to walk miles to her school when there was a school next to her house but she wasn’t allowed to go there because she was black.
Atlanta Motel v. US (1964)
Atlanta Motel denied black people and courts said that everyone was allowed to stay there.
Korematsu v. US (1944)
US put Chinese people in concentration camps & courts sided with gov.
Tinker v. Des Moises (1969)
John & Mary Beth Tinker wore armbands as protest & got suspended, freedom of speech fought against.
Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier (1988)
Kuhlmeier wrote a school newspaper, principle said it was inappropriate & court agreeded it couldn’t be published.
Engel v. Vitale (1962)
School in NYC forced kids to pray & courts said that they couldn’t do that.
Bethel School District #403 v. Fraser (1986)
Fraser used graphic inappropriate language during a school speech & got suspended, court agreeded.
Texas v. Johnson
Johnson burned a

15 year old attempted to prank call his friend but instead called his neighbor and used bad language, his neighbor complained to police & police took him and put him in a juvenile detention camp for 6 years, the police had breaken 6 amendments.
Mapp v. Ohio
Police was chasing Dolree Mapp and broke into her house without a search warrant and arrested her for having inappropriate pictures, the police had breaken the fourth amendment.
NJ v. TLO
14 year old drug dealer was accused of smoking in the girls bathroom & the principal took her purse. This was allowed bc it was in the school.
Gideon v. Weinwright
Gideon was charged for breaking & entering & police said he couldn’t have a lawyer, violating his rights.
