Location of Posterior L1-5 tender points? Treatment?
1) Located on the inferolateral side of the deviated spinous process
2) Extend trunk on the ipsilateral side and lift pelvis in a posterior direction (STRA)
Location of elevated Ribs 2-6? Treatment?
1) Posterior aspect of ribs at angles
2) Flexion, sidebending and rotation away (f-SARA)
Location of elevated Rib 1? Treatment
1) Beneath the margin of the upper trapezius
2) Extend neck, sidebend away, rotate towards (SART)
Location of Posterior T1-4 tender points? Treatment
1) Located on the inferolateral side
2) Sidebend away rotate away (f-SARA)
Location of Anterior L1 tender point? Treatment?
1) On the ASIS
2) Flexion of hips, side bend towards and rotate away (pull legs toward) (STRA)
Location of Anterior L2 tender point? Treatment?
1) Located on the inferior medial aspect of AIIS
2) Side bend away and rotate towards (SART)
Location of L3 & L4 tender points? Treatment?
1) L3 is at the lateral portion of the AIIS; L4 is at the inferior portion of the AIIS
2) Side bend away rotate towards (SART)
Location of Anterior T10-T12 tender points? Treatment?
1) T10= below umbilical 1cm, T11= below umbilicus 5-6cm, T12= inner surface of ilium
2) Flex hips and sidebend towards
Location of Anterior T7-9 tender points? Treatment?
1) T7= under costochondral margin, T8= 3cm below xiphoid process, T9= 1-2 cm above the umbilicus
2) Flexion sidebend towards, rotate away (STRA)
Location of Anterior Ribs 3-6 tender points? Treatment?
1) On dysfunctional rib at the anterior axillary line
2) f-STRT
Treatment for Ribs 1-2
1) f-STRT
Location of Anterior T1-6 tenderpoints? Treatment?
1) On sternum at level of corresponding rib
2) Flex with minimal side bending and/or rotation
Location of Anterior T1
1) Episternal notch
2) Flexion
Location of anterior cervical tender points? Treatment?
1) Located at lateral masses
2) Side bend and rotate away (SARA)
