Tell me the full story of the council of Nicea
Constantine had ended Christian persecution but the church’s problems were over yet. Arius causing arguments about the Christian community and questions about Jesus. Arius complained that God had created Jesus so therefore Jesus must be less than God. Arius idea became very very popular and Constantine was afraid that it may split the Catholic Church and the Roman Empire. In 325AD a meeting was called and 220 bishops where summoned. They needed up believing that Arius’s controversy was just a heresy, they described to make a creed called the creed of Nicea explaining to people about how Jesus is both man and God and Jesus and God are both equal
